Campaign
 A Symbol of Our Community
Roses bloom in a central courtyard, surrounded by brick archways reminiscent of the Spanish Renaissance. Inside, students descend a grand staircase into state-of-the-art classrooms. Young musicians rehearse in an auditorium, acoustically likened to a grand concert hall. A poetry reading and art show is being held in a paneled library, lit by chandeliers and a skylight made of opaque glass. To all who work here, to all who will be educated here, to all who come to visit, this is the Old Administration Building, the OAB. It is a symbol of educational importance and civic pride.
“I am so honored that I will have a chance to be part of the OAB Legacy.”
 — Dr. Ned Doffoney Fresno City College President
Needed Support
When complete the OAB willl add 100,000 square feet of desperately needed classrooms, recital halls, performance spaces, and offices.
Strategic Plan for Restoration
Since securing the voter approved $30 million from Measure E, complete with the endorsement of the State Center Community College District Board of Trustees, a dedicated team of citizens designed a capital development campaign, including an internal and an external phase, to secure additional private funding. Special thank you to our friends at Educational Employees Credit Union and their subsidiary EIFS for providing the gift of $100,000 to initiate the campaign. The internal phase, focused on investments made by the staff and friends of Fresno City College, was launched in August, 2006, with a goal of $1 million. The external phase, appealing to the citizens and businesses in our community, began in January of 2007. The total goal of $4 million raised through private funding will ensure the restoration of the auditorium and will provide furnishings for Wings A & B.
